New colouring challenge over at Make It Crafty. This months challenge was to colour something and make it look sparkly… Not an easy feat, but i like the out come.

New colour challenge over at Make it Crafty … all about the glow. Had lots of fun colouring this scene with a mix of copics and distress inks… very happy with the outcome.
Had a bit of time this weekend so I thought I would check out the Colour Throwdown Challenge blog to see what the swatches were this week.
A very simple palette of just blue, green and white, so I figured I would try out water colouring again, this time using distress inks.
Here is the final card I came up with.

I had a little bit of free time this weekend, so I thought it was a good time to make a card, and what better place to get inspiration then the Colour Throw Down Challenge blog.

Decided to try my had at water colouring… first time for every thing, it was a lot of fun to try, and i really like the end result. Tho the “mint” wash in the back ground is kinda hard to see.

Another image from Make It Crafty, I just loved colouring this Tia Celebrates image. Decided to crop off her bottom half for this card, but i wanted to keep the cute bow.

Coconut flours, and all those other gf flours seem to be all the rage these days.. I have never tried baking with any of them, but since i had an extremely ripe banana on my counter, i thought id give it a try.
These muffins are best enjoyed warm.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees & line/spray a muffin tin.
Mix together all ingredients except for pecans.
Fill muffin tins 2/3 full with batter and top with pecan pieces.
Bake for 20 to 25 mins.
Its that time of year again, where I find myself way behind on the Christmas cards that I need to make and send out to all my friends and family. I saw this beautiful angel image over at Make It Crafty, and I knew she had to be coloured up.

Thought I would join in the fun over at Art Impressions Blog, and play along with their Christmas prep challenge. Worked out well, since i recently received the Ai Holy Jolly set in the mail, and it gave me a good excuse to ink it on up!

A week or so ago, I posted about how awesome and versatile wonton wrappers are, and how they always make it in to my grocery buggy. That being said, I thought it would be a good idea to post a few wonton wrapper recipes over the coming weeks to prove just how wonderful they really are.
Taco Cups are a fun and crispy alternative to taco shells. Easy to prepare, and each cup is only 20 calories (obviously, this doesn’t include the filling)
Preheat oven to 350°F
Spray a regular sized muffin tin with cooking spray and place one wonton inside the cup, pressing sides into muffin tin, to make a “cup” shape. Give each an additional spritz of the cooking spray.
Cook for 8-10 mins until lightly starting to brown, removed and allow to cool for a few minutes.
Now that you have your cute little cups, fill them with whatever taco-ish ingredients you like… I did the typical seasoned ground beef, lettuce, tomato, green onion, salsa and a dollop of sour cream.
Yum!
Another halloween mani, last one for the year seeing as today is the 31st. thought I’d try my hand at stamping these cute little bats from a Winstonia plate… its harder then it looks to get the hang of.
